Funding bodies to:
provide accessible and inclusive application and selection processes to a diversity of applicants, see Equitable Application Processes
minimise labour time in application and acquittal processes for the applicant by only collecting data that will be used
implement a peer-assessment process of decision-making
undertake equitable assessment processes with integrity
fund projects that pay participants reasonable fees and wages at or above minimum standards
provide access to guidance and staff to assist applicants
announce funding recipients within a reasonable period
provide feedback for applicants
ensure funding application rounds are open and equitable
Applicants to:
budget for adequate artist fees in line with industry standards
undertake the funded program with care and with integrity
meet project deadlines
refrain from making major changes to funded projects and complete variations for changes
follow protocols for working with First Nations (see First Nations and Working with First Nations Art Centres), culturally diverse artists (see Racial Equity and Representation) and artists with disability (see Access Rights for d/Deaf and Disabled People)
make values-based decisions on the ethics of accepting funds
meet the terms and conditions of funding
