Summary of Good Practice Recommendations

Market professionals have a legal obligation to:

• ensure the Resale Royalty is paid, if required

• report all resales of artwork over $1,000 (including GST) to the Copyright Agency

Artists have a responsibility to:

• register for the Resale Royalty scheme on the Resale Royalty website

• notify the Copyright Agency within 21 days of the resale of each work, if they wish to collect the Resale Royalty themselves
