Organisations and artists have a responsibility to: 

• protect their personal health and safety, as well as the health and safety of anyone working with them or visiting their workplace 

• protect artwork in their possession against risks 

• be aware of the hazards in their workplace, venues or collections

• assess insurance requirements 

• assess risks to assets, including artwork 

• prepare a risk management plan 

• implement the risk management plan 

• review the risk management plan twice per year 

• make an emergency response plan
